We didn’t know what to think when we seen the first trailer and it takes place in a Retrofuture version of the 1960’s. Going have to see it to judge it but it does make a kind of sense. The first issue of the Fantastic Four came out August 1961 and a few decades later they sold the movie rights to Fox. When they started the MCU there was nothing they could do with the FF or the X-Men until Disney purchased Fox and returned them to their proper home.
This will be our first opportunity to see what Marvel will do with it’s “First Family” and if they will do something to pull them into the regular Marvel Universe.
If you haven’t seen it yet, Crafting Fantastic Four is a nice clip telling what their thought process was.
The next two trailers all of Geekdom and most of the general population have already seen them but if you haven’t or just want to enjoy again, here they are below.
